1. Introduction

This Cookie Policy explains how Giftm Technology Private Limited ("Giftm", "we", "us", "our") uses cookies and similar tracking technologies on the Giftm platform (www.giftm.in), the Giftm Marketplace (www.giftm.ai), and associated mobile applications (iOS and Android).

Your Consent — How It Works When you first visit the Giftm Platform, a cookie consent banner will be displayed. You may accept all cookies, decline non-essential cookies, or customise your preferences by category. Essential cookies cannot be declined as they are required for the Platform to function. Non-essential cookie preferences can be updated at any time through Cookie Settings in your account or in the footer of the website.

This Policy forms part of Giftm's legal framework alongside the Privacy Policy, Terms & Conditions, and Grievance Redressal Policy.

2. What Are Cookies?

A cookie is a small text file placed on your device when you visit a website. Cookies allow the website to recognise your device on return visits and remember your preferences.

  • First-party cookies: Set directly by Giftm on the Platform
  • Third-party cookies: Set by third-party services embedded in the Platform (analytics, advertising, social media)
Similar Technologies We also use web beacons (clear GIFs), pixel tags, and SDK trackers in our mobile applications. These function similarly to cookies and are governed by this Policy.

For targeted advertising cookies, use the Network Advertising Initiative opt-out page or the Google Analytics opt-out browser add-on
Global Privacy Control (GPC) & Do Not Track (DNT) Giftm honours GPC signals to the extent required by applicable law. If your browser sends a valid GPC signal, Giftm will automatically opt you out of non-essential cookies and marketing tracking. Essential security and session cookies remain active regardless of GPC/DNT signals as they are required for Platform operation.
Effect of Withdrawing Consent Withdrawing consent to non-essential cookies will not affect the lawfulness of processing carried out prior to withdrawal. Some Platform features may become unavailable if non-essential cookies are declined.
05THIRD PARTIES

5. Third-Party Cookies

Certain third-party services embedded on our Platform may set their own cookies. These include:

  • Analytics providers: Google Analytics, Firebase — for usage measurement and platform improvement
  • Advertising networks: For targeted advertising and campaign attribution
  • Payment gateway providers: For secure transaction processing (these are essential and cannot be declined)
  • Social media platforms: LinkedIn, Instagram, WhatsApp — for content sharing functionality

Giftm does not control third-party cookies. Please refer to each provider's own cookie policy for full details on how they collect and process data. Giftm is not responsible for the data practices of third-party services.

06MOBILE

6. Mobile App Tracking

The Giftm mobile applications (iOS and Android) use equivalent tracking technologies including SDKs, device identifiers (IDFA / GAID), and app analytics tools.

You may control tracking at the device level through:

  • iOS: Privacy Settings — App Tracking Transparency (ATT) — you may deny or revoke tracking permission for the Giftm app
  • Android: Settings — Privacy — Permissions — you may manage location, advertising ID, and other permissions
Physical Print Order Tracking For Physical Print Order tracking, order status cookies and session data are used solely to maintain your order tracking state and are deleted upon session end. No persistent tracking data is stored for Print Order tracking purposes.
07TRACKING

7. Web Beacons & Pixel Tags

We use web beacons (clear GIFs) and pixel tags in our HTML emails and web pages to track:

  • Email open rates and delivery confirmation
  • Click-through rates on links in emails and promotional content
  • Campaign effectiveness and conversion measurement

This data is linked to your email address where you are a registered user. You may opt out of email tracking by declining marketing communications in your account settings or by writing to support@giftm.ai.
